About
Sheroo isn’t just a character we created — he has been part of our family story for over four decades.
In 1979, my brother won an international essay competition sponsored by British Airways titled “What Animal Should We Save, How, and Why.” His essay focused on the Royal Bengal Tiger, a powerful symbol of courage, resilience, and beauty. That moment left a lasting impression on our family and sparked a lifelong connection to storytelling, compassion, and the natural world.
Inspired by that experience, my father later spent months in the Sundarbans, the home of the Royal Bengal Tiger. Over the years, our family collected stories, sketches, and research centered on bravery, empathy, and preservation — ideas that quietly shaped how we think about courage and care.
That creative legacy continued years later when my brother, Avi Das, went on to work in the film industry, contributing to major Hollywood productions, including Spider-Man 2. Storytelling, emotional connection, and imagination have always been part of our family’s journey.
Before bringing Sheroo to life, I spent many years building and running consumer businesses from the ground up — learning how to responsibly manufacture products, manage production, and deliver on promises. It’s what allows me to approach Sheroo not just with heart, but with discipline, transparency, and follow-through.
Giving back has also long been part of our family’s everyday life. Since 2020, we have consistently supported a local homeless shelter by donating food multiple times each week — quietly and without fanfare, simply because care should be a constant, not a campaign. With Sheroo, we plan to continue that spirit by supporting children- and community-focused causes after fulfillment.
Sheroo was born from all of this — a family legacy rooted in courage, compassion, and consistency. He’s a gentle reminder to children that courage doesn’t have to roar. Sometimes, it’s quiet, comforting, and right beside you.
